Koko-Jean & The Tonics release new jazzy soul single ‘Frank’s Zone’
“Frank’s Zone” is a modern day ‘enough is enough’ anthem inspired by the overlooked, decadent side of Barcelona’s urban reality, in contrast with its elite society. Koko-Jean & The Tonics have chosen Frank as their album’s Malcom X, a hero who sparks social uprising, much like Martin Luther King Jr. did for his people in their demand for social justice. “Frank’s Zone” evokes the vibe of 1970s Brooklyn, blending jazz, soul, and today’s R&B and hip-hop influences. It’s got a groove that eloquently blends Amy Winehouse’s signature sound and Marvin Gayes’ social narratives. This song’s crowd-bopping chorus is sure to resonate with listeners, as it speaks to the universal experience of grappling with social inequality and the call to action.
This single is the second track lifted from Koko-Jean & The Tonics‘ upcoming sophomore full-length Love Child, scheduled for release on Buenritmo on October 18th 2024 on LP, CD & Digital.
