Second single ‘Twangy Morocco’ by enigmatic combo Danzón El Gato
“Twangy Morocco” is the second single from enigmatic Madrid-based collective Danzón El Gato‘s upcoming debut album El Sonido Bastardo, that fuses a kaleidoscope of rhythms and sonic landscapes inspired equally by 1970s library music and golden era hip hop, spiced up with exotic afro-latin-psych grooves.
The creative core of Danzón El Gato is formed by Javier Adán (guitar) and Santiago Rapallo (drums and percussion), two craftsmen of sound, far from the spotlight but always at the forefront.
“Twangy Morocco” rides the line between groove and rawness, where reverb-drenched guitars meet the hypnotic pulse of the desert. Rooted in Moroccan traditions and infused with the spirit of Tuareg rock, the track blends rolling, trance-like rhythms with a crisp, twangy edge. It’s a sound that effortlessly crosses borders between tradition and psychedelia – soulful, expansive and full of life.
