Brand new video to ‘Real Life Baby feat. Emmi’ by Cookin’ On 3 Burners
Following the release of their latest full-length “Lab Experiments Vol.1: Mixin”, Melbourne Hammond funk trio Cookin’ On 3 Burners launch a brand new animated clip for single “Real Life Baby feat. Emmi”.
The colorful collage — created by Berlin-based Australian visual artist Lucy Dyson — traces the uptempo song’s path from hedonism to hangover, following a flock of hearts as they joyfully skip through a morning after “feeling light as a feather”. The permanently smiling organs float atop all aftermath evidence of a good night in — discharged ciggies, dirty undies and liquor of all description — while vocalist Emmi does her darnedest to shine some hope on the post-chaos scene via a series of glowing one-liners (“I don’t have a care now”), presented more as hope than conviction.
