First single and video ‘Say Goodbye’ from ReFunk’s debut album
Following the warm reception to their first single “The Harder We Try“, released digitally in the Spring of 2018, Lugano’s finest purveyors of funk & soul Re:Funk are back with a sneak peak into their upcoming debut album. First single “Say Goodbye” is a soulful ballad with a tight, minimalist groove and a heart-wrenching delivery that showcases singer Maqs Rossi‘s incredible voice. The single is accompanied by a video shot live at Canaa Recording Studio in Losone and premiered by US site Jammerzine.
Since their inception in 2015 Re:Funk have set fire to some of the most prestigious stages Switzerland has to offer, such as Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz Ascona Festival & Locarno Film Festival. The band was chosen by legendary saxophonist, composer, arranger and long-time James Brown collaborator Pee Wee Ellis to accompany him on tour in Europe, which resulted in a friendship and collaboration that sees the famed musician even appear on a track of the group’s debut album.
Re:Funk‘s full-length “Borderline” is scheduled to drop on CD / Digital on March 15th and contains 10 tracks of pure, unadulterated funk & soul, with no added sugar nor artificial coloring!
