Funky soul-jazz in second single ‘We Go Out Of Our Way’ by Rodina
Rodina, the project of singer Aoife Hearty and Joe Tatton, keys-player & co-writer from The New Mastersounds and bandleader of the Joe Tatton Trio, proudly presents the second single taken from their upcoming new album Good Company scheduled for release in June 2025.
“We Go Out Of Our Way” is an infectious and upbeat slice of funky soul-jazz aimed at the dancefloor that starts with a catchy rhodes riff and soon gets going with punchy horns and a tight bass line that build towards blistering keys and trumpet solos!
The track features Joe Tatton on Fender Rhodes, Luke Flowers on drums, Lucas De Mulder on guitar and some great guest musicians; The Filthy Six on horns: Nick Etwell on trumpet, Mark Brown on tenor Sax, Richard Hammond on bass and Pete Mason on second guitar.
Good Company will be the first album in the last 6 years from Rodina and will be available on vinyl, cd and digitally on June 27th 2025.
