Joe Tatton Trio releases titletrack of sophomore album ‘Galáctico’
“Galáctico” is the title track and second single taken from Joe Tatton Trio’s upcoming new album Galáctico.
Best known as the keyboard player of veteran UK jazz-funk quartet The New Mastersounds, Joe Tatton is also the leader of his own Hammond organ trio, the Joe Tatton Trio, whose debut album Big Fish came out in 2022 and won over a legion of support from fans and media alike.
Fast forward 2 years, and hot off the heels of The New Mastersounds’ latest full-length Old School which was recorded at Tatton’s studio, the Joe Tatton Trio is back with more delicious music that fans of The New Mastersounds will really dig!
“Galáctico” has a retro 70s soundtrack sound with a catchy hammond melody and some blistering solos, punctuated by Luke Flowers‘ funky breaks on the drums. It’s the title track and the second single from the forthcoming album. An early incarnation was played on The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show’s ‘Future Sounds of 2024’ show on BBC 6, but this extended release features The Haggis Horns, Scotland’s answer to the JB‘s.
