London 4-piece band Super db release new single ‘Wait For Me’
London 4-piece band Super db drop new single “Wait for Me”, an uptempo ballad that speaks of a man caught in a love triangle. The single fuses a tender melodic verse with a strong 70s disco element, and anticipates the band’s upcoming album ECOUTE CA dropping in July.
Super db play a distinctive mix of pop, disco, funk, rock and jazz and have been hailed by the likes of Ear Milk and Popmatters as a definite act to watch. This single follows up on previous tracks “Kool Funk” and “Open Line to Me” which were released in 2020 and flew into the UK soul charts, reaching number 2.
Super db’s next release sees them partnering with 3 leading international independent record labels for the global summertime release of their album Ecoute Ca. The audio style of the full-length is an homage to Jeff Lynne‘s productions of the late 70s, featuring falsetto vocals, dense production, and classic vocoder sounds in the chorus.
