Luscious acid jazz in new single ‘Trust In This Life’ by Rodina

Rodina is the project of singer Aoife Hearty and Joe Tatton, keys-player & co-writer from The New Mastersounds, and “Trust In This Life” is the first single from their upcoming new album Good Company scheduled to drop in June 2025.

“Trust In This Life” is a luscious slice of acid jazz featuring Joe Tatton on the fender rhodes and synth, plus Luke Flowers on drums, Sam Bell on congas and Richard Hammond on bass, while the horn section features Ray Butcher on flugel horn, Malcolm Strachan on trumpet and Atholl Ransome on flute.

Sounding like vintage grooves from Herbie Hancock, Rotary Connection and 90s acid-jazz, it’s an epic throwback groove that funk-lovers won’t want to miss!

Good Company will be the first album in the last 6 years from Rodina and will be available on vinyl, cd and digitally in June 2025.
