MT Jones releases self-titled EP and lead single ‘Rocking My Boat’
MT Jones, a fast-rising voice in modern soul currently on tour in support of Jalen Ngonda, finally releases his self-titled debut EP with lead single “Rocking My Boat”. This collection of songs introduces listeners to Jones’ rich, velvety vocals and heartfelt storytelling, drawing inspiration from classic soul legends while forging a sound that is uniquely his own.
The four-track EP takes us on a soulful journey through love, heartbreak, and self-reflection. From the raw vulnerability of “Tough Love“ to the smooth grooves of “Put Me Through“, each song showcases MT Jones’ ability to evoke deep emotion through his powerful voice and timeless lyrics. “Rocking My Boat” follows three previous singles which gained support on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and Jazz FM.
Lead single “Rocking My Boat” was composed by Jones alongside legendary songwriter and producer Eg White. White is a Grammy Nominated writer who has previously worked with artists such as Adele, Cee Lo Green, Sam Smith and Paloma Faith.
On the creation of the EP, MT Jones reflects: “This project is the culmination of everything I’ve experienced and felt over the last few years. It’s about baring my soul and finding healing through music. I wanted to create something that felt real and spoke to the heart”.
