New single ‘Impossible feat. Elan Rhys’ by Carwyn Ellis & Rio 18
“Impossible” is the first track to be released from the new Carwyn Ellis & Rio 18 album Fontana Rosa. Recorded at the legendary Toerag Studios in London (sadly now no longer) and featuring the incredible voice of Elan Rhys, the song is about knowing the hopelessness of a romance but continuing anyway – love is love, after all!
In stylistic terms, “Impossible” is inspired by the current wave of glorious Chicano soul emanating from California – a style Carwyn first came across on his travels to Japan in 2023.
