Crushed Velvet & The Velveteers drop a new double A-side 7 inch
Hot on the heels of his alter ego Crushed Velvet & the Velveteers‘ new album Love & Truth, American multi-instrumentalist Alan Evans, known as co-founder and drummer of acclaimed act Soulive, releases a new double A-side 45. This 7” single features brand new song “Shake” and album track “Really Can’t Get Over You”, both big feel-good soul songs.
“Shake” is a brand new, unreleased track, a groovy, upbeat soul funk song with an infectious hook and the incredible powerhouse vocal prowess of Melanie Masson.
“Really Can’t Get Over You” is a slice of sunny uptempo soul, with a catchy, singalong chorus, and featuring the liquid soul voice of Canadian singer Yanick. This track was taken from the album Love & Truth which was released in May and evokes the classic 60s and 70s soul & funk sound of Chicago, Detroit, Memphis and NYC.
