Vocal powerhouse Izo Fitzroy releases new single ‘Blind Faith’
Vocal powerhouse Izo FitzRoy has one of the most recognizable voices in the modern soul scene. Her gospel-infused style and direct song writing have won her high profile coverage across the BBC, KCRW, FIP, CLASH, Blues & Soul and Indie Shuffle to name a few.
New single “Blind Faith” is the third to be taken from her forthcoming new album “How The Mighty Fall”, and it’s an up-tempo, driving soul tune that sees Izo meditating on second chances in relationships.
Last summer she dominated airwaves, demolished dancefloors and turned heads with her Dimitri From Paris and Cotonete collaboration extravaganza “I Want Magic”. And she clearly enjoyed having some company in the studio as she’s back with another crack team of collaborators on this one too…
The track was recorded at Yellow Arch studios in Sheffield and produced by the Mercury Prize nominated Colin Elliott, whose enviable credits include Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker, and Paul Weller amongst others. Also backing her up are the sizable talents of both The Haggis Horns and The Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir (with whom Izo has sung with since her teens).
“Blind Faith” out via Digital download on January 17th via Jalapeno Records
