What they say…
“Where this band veer from other traditional organ trios is their cinematic side which gives them the edge!”

Jake Mason is a Melbourne based ARIA-nominated songwriter, producer, educator and touring artist, with over twenty years experience in the music industry. A graduate of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts, the multi-instrumentalist and prolific songwriter has released twelve albums; gained platinum sales worldwide; and established his own label, Soul Messin’ Records and production house.
As organ player, leader and founding member of funk & soul outfit Cookin’ On 3 Burners, with whom he released 4 albums, Jake co-wrote and co-produced numerous songs, including the Kungs Vs Cookin’ On 3 Burners chart topper “This Girl”, which hit the #1 spot in 10 countries and reached the Top 10 in 37 territories. Nominated for ARIA song of the year, the track became the most shazammed dance song of 2016 worldwide.
Published by Origin Music, Jake has television synch credits including Underbelly, Vogue, Peugeot, Just Jeans and Sky Sports to name a few. An accomplished live performer, he has worked as a side man with artists such as Richard Clapton, Mark Seymour and Hugh Jackman and has co-written with Kate Ceberano, Eric McCusker and Tania Doko to name a few.
Taking off his hat as one third of Cookin’ On 3 Burners to focus on his jazzier inclinations, Jake has teamed up with Danny Fischer on drums and James Sherlock on guitar to form the Jake Mason Trio, a project revolving around the sound of 60s jazz & soul with the organ firmly in the forefront. Their first official recording “The Man In The Mirror” will see the light of day in May 2018.
