Joel Sarakula teases new album with second single ‘Loved Up’
“Loved Up” is the grooving, strutting second single from Joel Sarakula’s upcoming long player Soft Focus. Produced by Sarakula, it’s a modern retro-funk classic with psychedelic tinges and it captures the euphoria and ecstasy of being in love and compares it with addiction in its many forms.
Co-written with Phil Martin (Jazzinvaders / Soul Snatchers / Dawn Patrol) and featuring Phil on drums and percussion, “Loved Up” is full of bold and wriggly 1970s inspired synths (George Duke anyone?), fat bass lines and Sarakula’s vocals sailing smoothly over the frenetic energy of the track pleading “Dopamine’s gonna hit you fast, gotta see your face or you’ll never last the night”.
“Loved Up” out digitally on Sep. 25th 2024 via Légère Recordings
