‘Sweet Time feat. Izo FitzRoy’ by Dutch dance crew Kraak & Smaak
Kraak & Smaak are back and packing a brand new single! “Sweet Time” is a succulent little morsel served up by the legendary Dutch dance crew on their very own Boogie Angst imprint
Yes, the second single taken from the forthcoming album “Pleasure Centre” is a truly pleasurable listen indeed. And it’s just as we’d expect from an act that continues to consistently deliver the goods with every release that comes.
A glorious fusion of breakbeats, funk, pop and indie dance curated by the guys provides the perfect backdrop for the almighty vocal of Izo FitzRoy who powers through the topline with her signature tones. Oscar de Jong’s synth prowess is once again on display here, as he showcases a full complement of chops ranging esoteric glissandi, funk stabs, mellow moments and catchy hook motifs that keep things interesting from the first note to the last.
Izo’s star has been rising fast since she burst on the scene with the stunning album “Skyline”, winning support across the world from the likes of the BBC, KCRW, and FIP to name a few. And this collaboration comes straight off the back of a Mixmag ‘Tune Of The Month’ award for her last single – “I Want Magic” which she worked on with disco man extraordinaire Dimitri From Paris.
As she says in the track – she’ll do it her “own sweet time” but when you listen to this you won’t mind one bit. If anything, you’ll be wanting her to take even longer!
